After 4 days either curled on the couch, tucked under the covers on my bed or sprawled on the lawn with Edward (Twilight) I went to see the movie Saturday morning. It was the next best thing to the book. Although I don't think I would have liked the movie had I not read the book, it was good. It was nice to put a face with a name for the next book. Edward was really not my type, however he grows on you. I like Bella, she was innocent, awkward and sweet. It felt short, but flowed well. I thought I would never read the book, but decided to give it a try. I was bitten immediately. The author does a great job developing the characters, which the movie lacked. I want to see more however, just to see more of Jakob.
The Next Best Thing to Floyd is Australian Pink Floyd, who put on a great show Saturday night. Their visional effects (lasers, obscure videos, acting, and giant pig ballon) combined with such amazing music did not disapoint. Not only was the band extrememly entertaining, but the crowd was as well. It was great to see parents with their children. The most memorable had to be the drunk guy in front of Kim A. who offered a pregnant women some weed, and the funky dude who took our picture and flung his arms wildly to the music only added to the atmostsphere. My favorite part was watching Mike's childish grin and see his eyes light up with remembrance of times past. Sitting and listening to Floyd with good friends in the good old days. (the 90's)

And sharing her ball dropping, noise making, button pushing toy with friends.

The next night we traveled the uneventful drive to Yuma to celebrate Halloween at my brother's house. Tamara and Jared go all out for Halloween, going on 8 years now. Great food, she homemakes, awesome prizes for dressing up, spooky decorations and fun games and friends.
